Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

The process of upgrading an item, often called "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment gives an increase in linearity of the stats of a particular.

Players can recycle six items at a time to gain a gauge for the upgraded component of each item. The cost of recycling items scales according to their rarity and level.

Upgrade components

An item upgrade in Guild Wars 2 is a procedure that can improve the power of your weapon and armor. This can be accomplished in a variety of ways such as using upgrade components or by increasing the rarity or mark level. Additionally there are many items that can be reforged to boost their stats even more.

Upgradeable items can be found throughout the game, both around the world and as rewards for missions. Players can also craft them. The most common method of upgrading equipment is through the use of upgrade components, which are components that can be slotted into equipment. The majority of equipment comes with slots that can be upgraded and some require a specific level of upgrade. Certain upgrade components provide specific bonuses, while others offer an overall bonus.

There are many types of upgrade items components in the game, including universal upgrades, inscriptions, and jewels. Universal upgrades, like gems and enchantments, are able to be used in any type of equipment and offer less bonuses than those that are equipment-type specific. Glyphs are only available in gathering tools and offer numerous bonuses, ranging from increasing the speed of the item's collection to providing extra crafting materials.

To upgrade an item upgrading, click it in your inventory, then open the Upgrade window. The preview will appear on the right hand side of the screen. It will show the expected statistics after the upgrade. If you do not have enough of either, the Upgrade button will show as Blocked.

The upper-right corner displays the amount of upgrade components needed for an item. The cost of upgrading increases as the level and rarity of the item increase. However you can lower this cost by purchasing upgrades from a merchant, or trading them with other players.

Most weapons can be upgraded with an upgrade to a prefix, such as an insignia, or a rune. Many are upgraded by an upgrade suffix. These upgrades include an adjective in the item's name like "Radiant" or "Minor Vigor".

Glyphs

Glyphs are a way to communicate visual information. They move to grab the viewer's eye and entice curiosity. The animation of glyphs mimics body language, which makes them more effective in conveying the message across linguistic barriers. Glyphs also create a sense of familiarity in the brain, thereby increasing retention of the message.

Each glyph comes with a range of values that it can increase a stat's value according to the item when you open the glyph in the Glyph Storage or when you use them to enchant an artifact. This isn't the actual amount at which the glyph will increase the stat, but rather the maximum amount it can do so. The value of the glyph depends on the tier and the quality of the product you are admiring.

The majority of upgrade components installed into items cannot be removed or replaced without dismantling them, with the exception of legendary equipment and upgrades. If you have a glyph or rune you do not want to use, but it's not been applied to the gear yet, you can transfer the item to another piece by selecting the Upgrade Glyphs menu on the Glyphs Panel. This will create an Glyph Set that includes the selected glyph.

You can take out a glyph by using a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage tool. The Best item upgrade on which the glyph is placed will be destroyed, but the upgraded item can be recovered by removing the glyph fragments.

When you take away an item after adding a glyph the shards from that glyph will disappear. You can also add the glyph on your equipment to provide a bonus. Deferred Damage, for example, can store damage and then be dealt slowly to the wearer instead of all at one time. This can be helpful for those who take many hits from enemies but don't want to be overwhelmed.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens let players alter the affixes they use on their weapons and equipment and can be found in various ways like mistery boxes or as rare drops from skulled creatures, or from killing bosses. Every reroll grants the player an affix randomly chosen and generally better than the one they had before. Reroll tokens can also be a good way to reroll weapon stats that can be upgraded to increase damage or perks.

Items that have been rerolled will not appear in the upgrade menu, but they still qualify to receive upgrades. These rerolled items are able to be recycled by pressing the "upgrade" button that alters the layout of the item window and allows up to six items to recycle. The level gauge is increased by recycling an item. The amount is determined by the rarity of the item and its level, which means higher-level items are more valuable to recycle than lower-level ones.

Players can also make use of Reroll Tokens and Star Remnants to roll rerolling Weapon Traits to upgrade units. Rerolls are based on a % chance to determine a weapon's trait. If it rolls higher, then the weapon is upgraded. If it is lower the weapon is left as it was. Weapons can be upgraded up to three times.

Rerolls are a great option for upgrading an item, but players should be aware that it can reduce the overall ilvl the weapon by the number of rerolls required to increase it to its final ilvl. This effect is most evident on rings and Diadems, because they are the only options to increase the ilvl.

The Reroll system has been criticized by players as being too expensive and it's more reasonable to let players pay for it with money or a food item which would allow players to alter their builds without wasting time and effort. The developers have no plans to implement paid rerolls at this stage of the game's development. Instead, they're planning to add an ability to change races in the near future.

Leveling

There are a variety of ways to upgrade an item upgrader. The first way to level up an upgrade to an item is to increase the amount of upgrade. This boosts the value of an upgrade for the stat. The second is to increase the upgrade effect which increases the damage or heal of a specific stat. Finally there is the possibility to upgrade the base item to an upgrade type. The upgraded item level upgrade will keep its iLevel, but be upgraded to reflect the effects of the upgraded item.
