What are Valorant ranks? We've taken a deep dive into the Valorant ranking system to show you how they work and what the current distribution looks like. By examining these figures, you can see where you stand compared to the average player, as well as how much effort you've put into Riot's tactical shooter.

Like all competitive FPS games, Valorant uses multiple ways to measure player progression. Every player gets a Valorant rank, but there's also a separate Act rank for each season. There's also a concept called Rank Rating (RR), which connects closely to your hidden MMR.

Valorant Act Rank

Your Act rank reflects your highest-ranked win during an act. It's visualized as a triangular badge filled with colored triangles for each win. Only the top triangle—the best win—counts as your official Act rank. This also determines what reward you receive at the end of the act. Act rank resets each act, but your previous MMR influences new placements.
